A PAC is sending this out to residents in my area

Political flier with a photo of Trump on the right side and various warning symbols throughout the text. There is a watermark on the flier that appears to be an eagle similar to other US symbols containing eagles. The text reads: VOTER ALERT. We see you haven’t voted yet. Your voting record is public… Your neighbors are...

floppingfish,

This is all BS. They didn't check if you voted yet (info not available yet) and will not check that you did ( who cares at that point). This is empty threats and scare tactics.

floppingfish,

For what it is worth, I've changed my DE to Wayland (experimental) and it is working...

floppingfish,

Back in the day, it was recommended after every meal!

floppingfish,

We replaced liquid laundry detergent with powered , replaced shampoos and soaps in bottles with bar soap etc. And bought netting bags to replace plastic bags

floppingfish,

"There’s infinity between should and does sometimes." Love that line and so true for Linux.

I’ve just released Gatekeeper 1.6.0. It’s a single executable that turns any Linux machine into a home gateway. Now with realtime traffic graphs, LAN autoconfiguration, full cone NAT and better looks. (github.com)

Hi all home network administrators :) Haven’t posted anything here since June, when I told you about Gatekeeper 1.1.0. Back then it was a pretty bare-bones (and maybe slightly buggy) DNS + DHCP server with a web UI with a list of LAN clients. Back at 1.1.0 Gatekeeper didn’t even configure your LAN interface or set up NAT...

floppingfish,

This sounds interesting, does implementing this, as a noob, make sense?

floppingfish,

I suggest you check into woodworking supply places like Rockler and Woodcraft. They sell a lot of good finishes.

floppingfish,

Before you talk CLI, I'd talk about; customizing the machine, connecting to networks, installing programs, backing up and other regular tasks.

Does anyone know what these corners are called? (reddthat.com)

I received a beautiful piece of mahogany from a neighbor that I would like to turn into a small coffee table. I have most of my design plans figured out but I don’t know what these corners are called. I feel like I used to see them on tables everywhere but can’t find an online example. I even picked up this board from the...

floppingfish,

I cut these first with a Forstner bit and then use a router to round over or run a cove around the whole board

floppingfish,

Great choice! A sincere answer bracketed by two cliched answers!

floppingfish,

Sounds great. Could you please show pictures of the jigs?
