@djlink I have launched planescape torment recently and while it still works it is clearly visible that it is dated and less nice than today's realtime

so disagree that it is unrivaled. today's realtime is pretty much there

@djlink I have a ton of things that cutting this or that from sites, and on top of that twitter control panel that disables most annoying twitter parts

so something might switch off the part that breaks twitter

I woke up and had a sleepy brain idea that uncountable infinities were uncountable because they were multi dimensional.
For instance, a real number being a 1d integer part plus another 1d decimal part.
Has anyone seen this thought before?
Am I wrong to assume that the space between two integers is a countable infinity?

@demofox not really cardinality of a plane is the same as cardinality of a line and it is possible to construct 1-1 function that assigns each number a dot on a plane

same with rationals, there are as many as integers, and space between two integers is just integer can't see why the second would be useful

to jump to the real cardinality you take all the sequences of integers and that would be reals

when you dealing with math alot thoughts like that come and go all the time. this is fun

@demofox with real numbers and next cardinality there is the same jump

2d real numbers are of the same "size" as 1d, to jump up you can say take all possible subsets of all real numbers

difference is like between power function and factorial

I RARELY say this, but this is a case for "pirate it" if you got screwed. If I ever do this with my games, providing no alternative for players who purchased it, feel free to pirate it!

Back in December 2023, Ubisoft announced it would power off the servers for its racing title, The Crew, and as of April 1st, 2024, the game would go offline. Of course, this caused a massive uproar from those who paid for the game since this would make the game unplayable without those servers. But things have taken another turn for the worse, as Ubisoft has taken things a step further and started removing the game from people’s Ubisoft Connect accounts. I’m not making this nonsense up. I wouldn’t have even noticed if I hadn’t logged into Ubisoft Connect because I wanted to log back into The Division 2. It’s not like Ubisoft had told us it was going to do this.
