To everyone at conferences and conventions: for the love of fuck, wear a mask. There’s a new COVID variant going around and even if you’re vaccinated and only get a “mild case” it can literally make you disabled for life.

@thomasfuchs Yep. My roommate went to a convention and brought home that new strain. I’ve been horribly ill for days. Luckily I was able to get a prescription for Paxlovid which has greatly helped.

I wouldn’t wish this garbage on anyone but DeSantis.

Hi- I’m Vrabielley. I love birds, tech, and retro & modern gaming. Currently I’m very much enjoying my playing through all the titles I’ve missed out on.

I enjoy posting about old computer/console games and retro toys from the and . means a lot to me as I found the world back then to mostly be a better place.

Outside of tech I adore birds, food, and cooking. Spicy things especially!

How satisfied are you with the state of the fediverse?

@evan By far the best place to be. Lack of normies keeps conversations interesting and meaningful. The fact that it’s tech centric is amazing given my interests. No algorithms means it’s not inherently predatory for your time and mental health.

10/10 would fedi again.
