I had to literally initiate a 3-way call between the logistics company’s claims department and the logistics company support rep because they still hadn’t filed the actual claim. They say they did, but apparently the insurance company “never received it”. Prior to this 3-way call, the company was telling me their insurance company said they’ll follow up “sometime later this week”.

Unbelievable.

@alexstandiford oof. Good thing you did — we found out from the tree falling on our house in late July you have to advance every step because nobody seems willing to live up to their end of the bargain here. Insurance has just become a wealth-transfer mechanism.

I have a #Wordpress issue that I am hoping someone can help me with. My site is redirecting from domain A to domain B. I now want to turn this off.

It seems to be redirecting on a 301 code. I can't remember where I set this up. I have checked the .htaccess file, but the only reference to 301 is this line

RewriteRule .* https://%{SERVER_NAME}%{REQUEST_URI} [R=301,L]

I thought that would just redirect http to https. What am I missing? Thanks in advance.

    @dworkin something I try to stress to folks is that this is as much about time as it is money — at that ratio it will take you (assuming you’re the average worker in this scenario) 600 freaking years to earn what the CEO makes. Now multiply that time across the entire “average” workforce of your company.

    @jake4480 same. Northern VA has bougie trash. During the early months of the pandemic I scored a couple of usable high-dollar curb finds, including a propane grill and a $300 jogging stroller.

    However, that 1000lb pile of vintage 1950s sheet metal Venetian blinds is undoubtedly destined for the scrapper.

    @jake4480 can’t top a working Dreamcast! Folks don’t know how easily they can clean up having yard sales w/ video games. It’s all people asked for when we held ours. Literally carloads of dudes driving by murmuring “got any old video games?!” from open windows 🙄😂

    Considering renting YOURLS managed hosting by the year and I need WordNerds to either talk me into it (or talk me out of it). Also, bear in mind it needs positioning for use by 2 sites (personal and agency-professional) if you can even do that.

    (Caveat: I’m a 43 y/o toddler dad trying to run a microagency and building block themes, so if you utter the words “Digital Ocean droplet” I’m apt to get a little salty.)
