Things that amuse me; Looking back through old Siri-generated reminders on my phone where it failed picking up slang context or my accent and tried to turn it into some kind of formal Americanspeak, or something. Some I can interpret. Others I have no idea.

A screenshot of reminders reminding me of “copy shop”, “pump”, and “get Craig shoot them up”. I do not remotely remember what these were. Probably "Coffee shop" which always gets reinterpreted to "Copy shop", a term we generally don't use.
A screenshot of three reminders from 20th of March this year reminding me to “cats”, “30” and again “cats”. I've got no idea.

It’s important to remember that the underlying thing behind all this is simple greed for money.

The GOP is basically bankrupt because it’s been drained for money by Trump and his accomplices (lots of legal fees and giant payment coming up because he was found guilty of rape).

Now probably trying to squeeze whatever he can from donors.

Wonder if his kids will flee the country soon. Qatar maybe?

Literally say in every sentence that they’re supporting a convicted felon to drive that spike home into their brains.

It's weird attributing the negative economic mood to partisan vibes when sentiment is down overall, even taking into account that Republicans feel worse ("Biden bad") and Democrats feel better ("Biden good").

But Democrats don't like polling averages either so who cares what people think, I guess.

I have this idea for something...I have celiac disease, and I realized that one of the most difficult things I deal with is a lack of clarity on which items contain gluten, especially in other languages.

What if we had universally accepted allergen icons used on all prepacked items?

@annaecook if it’s not batch-tested it’s practically meaningless because ingredients can be contaminated for various reasons (down to things like glue in packaging).

Also lab-testing isn’t as precise as dogs are and what’s “free” of gluten is based on how precise lab tests are.
