what about a new license that explicitly forbids mechanically transformed works?

the trick AI corpos have used is to say there's no difference between a person being inspired by a work and by a machine being trained on it. i think it could be defensible if you specifically wrote the license to exclude machines. the obvious response here is to say machines are human, but like - that would be really interesting to see where that goes.

it's so weird to me that anyone thinks i am attractive in any way

i spent so much of my life hating my body and there is so much inertia behind that

i remember back in September when i first entertained the idea i may be attractive; and people were like "uh yes? you are?" ... and like... i now believe that other people believe this, but it's so incredibly weird to me still

the idea is so foreign that even though i want it to be true i cannot believe it, despite ample evidence it is true

somatic therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy are like two sides of the same coin for me.

i cannot do one without the other, i am way too good at compartmentalizing and suppressing. i learned that too young; it's automatic.

cognitive behavioural therapy, talk therapy, and exposure therapy can help me to break down the barriers that keep things locked away ... and then embracing somatic therapy to really allow myself to fully feel them will process them...

... but that's not the whole story either - because my thoughts have a lot of momentum to them.

i don't just write a new log entry into my brain's event stream and suddenly that is the canonical response to a stimulus.

this momentum means i also need to repeat the process... consciously finding new ways to surface things and process them; consciously noting where i reacted in ways that are not aligned with my vibes and consciously moving forward towards greater alignment.

i know that shadow work would get me where i am going faster, but it's too intense for me right now.

logging into a server and editing a file named app.php is no different than committing manifests to a git repo and having flux DevOps it out to all clusters simultaneously

a lot of people explicitly or implicitly value "politeness" or "family" and in doing so they subtly reinforce kyriarchy.

i am not saying don't be polite and to hate your family -- what i am saying is that the real values are consent, boundaries, and truth. politeness and family follow from these, if warranted.

the practical difference here is that if someone is impolite or doesn't have a family, they're still chill as long as they respect consent, boundaries, and truth.

my cis female nesting partner has never once had her estradiol levels tested and she's been to doctors about chronic health issues for almost a decade.

imagine being a trans woman and never having your hormone levels checked.

honestly, this is one of the ways that cisnormativity likely hurts cis people; she should have had her levels checked years ago!
