"Airlock" on #Atari2600, aka "What Exactly Is TRON Doing On A Submarine?"

I think I'm going to have to download some instructions for this one. No idea what I'm supposed to be doing at all!

Gameplay screen from "Airlock" on Atari 2600. Red platforms, green "monsters" (apparently they're rogue torpedoes?) and a yellow player graphic.

Has anyone seen where I put that toot I was working on earlier? The one that was really funny and insightful?

I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Somehow this game still doesn't get the praise it deserves, I feel.
Every time I tried to set up a score attack for it at various places, it becomes clear that a lot of people miss the depth that lies beneath the surface of this one.
Be that the mastering of the crazy drift and boost or learning the pickups and layout.

@OutofPrintArchive I can't say I ever noticed the depth! For me, it just a genuinely great - perhaps THE great - pick-up-and-play arcade game on a home console.

The most successful video I ever had on Youtube, and the only one I got asked if I wanted to "monetize" (I did not), was titled "Inserting Carrots Into Animals". It was only ever popular because people expected to see something lewd, whereas in fact it was just me giving carrots to two llamas and a goat (normally, through the front end I hasten to add).

I wonder if "butt stuff" will be equally successful.

@llamasoft_ox It will if you plug it hard enough...

A little challenge / exercise for the photographers, whether amateur, aspiring, or professional!

Shoot a flat lay with a red theme.

'Flat lay' is where you arrange objects on a surface in a visually appealing way, and shoot them top down.

No hurry to contribute, take some time and plan it out. Maybe even document the process!

Here are some inspirational examples (all from Pexels)!

Top down photograph; a pair of hands on a white surface, one resting on an open laptop; two cans of coke besides, a red journal with orange pencil, and a red and white book on a red surface.
