Adding a form field in most web frameworks:

  1. Add property to model
  2. Write a migration (if it isn't automated)
  3. Add field to the relevant templates
  4. Perhaps write a validation function

I've never done Mother's Day, it was a Forbidden Holiday in my upbringing.

So today I'll remember the day when my mum finally accepted me for who I am, and asked me if I was butch or femme.

Not only was that a lovely gesture of acceptance, but now I will always giggle thinking of my ultra conservative mum googling "types of lesbian"

I feel a MIGHTY NEED to infodump on one of my favourite physics puzzles!

What would win - an unstoppable force or an immovable object?

We've got to define a few things.

If a force is unstoppable, it must be a physical thing, because force requires mass. If it's unstoppable, it means that its velocity cannot be changed. It's just going to keep going no matter what.

If an object is immovable, it must be a physical thing with mass. And it can't be moved, so its velocity cannot be changed.

So we've got these two objects. It seems like the "unstoppable force" one must be moving, and the "immovable object" one must be stationary, right?

Hmm. Let's get rid of every other object in the universe and see if that's true. I mean, if one is moving and the other is still, that's still true if there are no other object, right?

Turns out if you do that, you can't tell which is moving and which isn't.

If you took a seat on one of them, the other would appear to be moving.

YOU CAN'T.

They are the same thing.

Whether or not they could exist or not is another question. But this is my favourite answer to my favourite physics puzzle ever.

What would happen if they collided?

NOTHING.

If both of their velocities CANNOT be changed, they'd simply keep on going through each other, according to the rules of the puzzle.
