@itsfoss my gf and I work using WinOS (company laptop) and she has a personal laptop with WinOS.
I run arch, fedora and Debian server and I still don't think Linux is a replacement for WinOS. I see it in the near future though, containerisation helps with this.
@Uraael@itsfoss welcome to Linux. It will only get better from here.
"greater experience" 🤣 thx. I'm ok on Linux. Only started 5 years ago.
I started on Windows 3.11 and stopped at Win10 😉
@thelinuxcast you're right 😃.
I would compare it to installing Linux. I can install arch through cli or I could install Manjaro. But I would learn less with Manjaro. (Real life experience, in reverse but this was kinda my journey on Linux)
Achievement unlocked yesterday: First 20-mile (32km) ride... EVER! Got to feast my eyes on beautiful orchards and farmland, Bear Creek, and Black Rascal creek.
This ride felt like tangible proof that my decision to ditch alcohol and eat healthier (more cooking from scratch, less ultra processed foods) is paying off.
@killyourfm good for you! Keep it up. You'll feel better and wake up the following day with renewed energy.
I've gotten to the point where I don't feel guilty when I occasionally go for processed food. I can make it up every other day with a healthy diet.
How can it be that the killing of white aid workers is now seen as a “turning point”? That newspapers are NOW saying “Enough” ? Like, it was all ok up to now - killing 40,000 people, systematic starvation, destroying virtually the whole of Gaza - but now it’s “Enough”? All of this so problematic.
But yes, of course I too hope that this is a turning point; that Western support for Israel’s war is waning. #Gaza
If you really like the principles of the #Framework laptop, but their lineup doesn’t work for you, you need bigger hardware, a GPU, cheaper options or just more customization, then I have the next best thing!
They support #Linux, #CoreBoot, they have more laptops, and pretty much the same repairability as a Framework, without the generational upgrades:
