I'm on my first #ElectricVehicle trip to my Dad's in Aberdeenshire. The charging infrastructure this far north is definitely more sparse than the rest of the country, and I've had one failure with a charging device that refused to start. But for all the FUD in the press about EVs and #RangeAnxiety, I'm struggling to run the bloody battery down.

I had created a grant total of 3 , stored in a password manager rather than a platform lock-in, but I'm deleting them all. If something is ever to replace passwords and OTPs it needs a better user experience, not worse and more confusing.

I'm moving to another supplier. Energy companies are all bad but billing is their only job. One correct calculation in a year shouldn't be too much to ask.

@acemaxxanalytics I had a plug-in hybrid. Kept it less than a year. Hardly ever needed the petrol engine but it was horribly inefficient as an EV. Never again.

Really enjoying https://draculadaily.com. I tried last year but missed a few entries, got confused about the story and dropped it. Fun way to read the book but important to make sure you don't skip bits. To make it easier I have a filter move the emails into a folder.

Cleaned my solar panels with a water-fed brush and squeegee. No chemicals, although there probably is something appropriate that won't leave a residue. Any thoughts?

Anyway it's going to rain for the next 3 days so I won't know if it's helped until the weekend.

Good band practice today. We're doing a bunch of covers and reviving one song we wrote together in the 90s. All starting to sound pretty good but guess the one song and solo I made a pig's ear of. Yes, our own, and my own.

Overheard quite an elderly couple debating #AI in a beautiful spot in the #PentlandHills near #Edinburgh. He was all in on the successor species nonsense and she could see right through it. They walked off still talking about it.

245 miles today, the most #ElectricVehicle driving I've done in a day. Plenty for me, if not a lot by some folks' standard. One 20 minute charge. Easy peasy.
