by the way, i logged out of this account a while ago to get somewhat of a full time-out of this project. i've been on an extended holiday (partly; i've also been working remotely), so i haven't wanted to touch the megalodon code while i've been away. when i'm back (which is pretty soon) i will definitely keep developing this app, although i'm increasingly more scared of all the merge conflicts and possible resolutions.. either way, the project isn't dead, in case anyone was wondering!

Why are @megalodon and @moshidon the only Android Mastodon apps that when you tap on a notification about a post, they take you directly to that post.

All the others seem to just take you to the list of notifications.

I prefer to be taken directly to the post that the notification is about.

@jcrabapple @moshidon that's something i really appreciate about the official mastodon app - many off the small things are just done right. plus it looks pretty nice. i think forking it was a good decision

a while ago, i tried to debug a problem where posts appeared to take forever to send.

i came to the conclusion that it has to be a system-wide problem - something about threads not running tasks immediately - because i'm experiencing something similar when copying text (the android popup showing the copied content appears with a big delay) and when sending messages on instagram (messages are sent but not displayed in the chat)

is anyone else experiencing something similar? i'm using #lineageos

and by "big delay", i mean around 45 seconds. when waiting this long, posts are sent - and i'm pretty sure that the copied text popup delay is similarly long. not sure about instagram tho - i usually close and re-open the chat when that happens (which is always)

might also be related to the unofficial lineageos build for my device - i have recently fully wiped my phone and reinstalled everything from scratch..
