It's been over a month since I've posted to Mastodon. Most days, I check in and read a few posts, but my engagement has been limited.

There are some things I miss about being more active. I've also exprienced some relief at getting away from the negativity and constant competition to be the most critical person on the block.

I think the thing I miss most is the opportunity to express myself in small ways each day on topics I don't usually get to talk about.

I took some time to think about the Ronna McDaniel hiring and firing.

Some news: I may be back in Nevada doing voter protection work with the Nevada Democrats after several cycles in Georgia. A little closer to home.

I totally understand the rational behind this strategy for removing Trump from the ballot.

I continue to have serious reservations about it and fear the backlash that it will cause.

@stpaultim I feel like this is a question we should be asking. No one has ever really put us in this position before as a country since the civil war. Do you feel like CO and ME are not reading the 14th amendment correctly? https://constitution.congress.gov/browse/amendment-14/section-3/

I guess I'm interested to know what you think might be an unintended consequence? If you had to game it out, if the courts, including SCOTUS, decided that the 14th, sec 3 is self executing and applies to the office of the president, how might this affect other future candidates that seek office? Maybe there is an edge case I'm not thinking of? A chilling effect maybe?

About once a year I get a nostalgic hankering for pickle loaf. The new hot mustard Doritos really took this to the next level lol.
