I love #DonkeyKong and collecting his games, so look what came in the mail today! On the right is the #gameboy color port of #donkeykongcountry. Yes you heard right, they fit the whole 3D 16-bit #SNES game onto this 8-bit handheld and it is shockingly faithful to the original. I lowkey think this might actually be the best portable version of DKC1. Being in colour, it’s immediately more readable than the DK Land games, while it also looks crisper than the washed-out #gba port. Cont. in comments

@TKSivgin DK for GameBoy (the left one) also has a beautiful Super GameBoy border and even a limited colour mode there.

Has anyone come across an example of an ‘All Gender Toilets' symbol done well? The choices seem to be either show 'everyone’ (Stick figure, stick figure in a dress, stick figure in wheelchair) or an oddly ‘half-skirted' person.

I started working on an airplane game inspired by Pilotwings, but I'm not satisfied with my art style... I think I'll have to shelf it until I get the opportunity to team up with a 3d environment artist.

turns out the GameBoy screen's ghosting effect is so bad for moving sprites, it doesn't really matter what your animations look like anyway. 😅

don’t have anything else handy so just using #ProCreate on an iPad with pen to create 8x8 tile sprites with a colour bit-depth of 2. 👨‍🎨
