You can usually find me writing, reading, watching tv, eating delicious food, playing board games and ttrpgs, pondering the past, serving as squire to my two cats, and finding joy in creating - everything from novels to soap to zines to fan fiction.

Leftist bisexual trans-inclusive feminist living with anxiety.

I've had such an influx of long-awaited sequel pre-orders arriving plus library holds coming through, and then a friend lent me yet more books!

I love having so many reading options that I need to use the notes app to keep track of my queue. 🥰

Tried out and enjoyed it a lot. Deceptively simple dice placing and pattern making with a fun theme.

I love being bi. I love being in a bisexual relationship; one of my favorite activities is discussing shared celebrity crushes with my partner. I love queer parodies of pop songs. I love the bi flag. I love when I can tell that a book is queer from the first few paragraphs. I love my queer friends.

I never really got into the habit of using bookmarks consistently until my partner got me this nifty astronaut. 🚀

My favorite genre of media really is just "cozy amongst the ruins."

Not exactly dystopian, more like post-post-apocalyptic. Like everything's just collapsed. And that's okay.

#3GoodThings

  1. Finished my #StationEleven rewatch, which firmly solidified its place in my top three shows of all time.

  2. Cuddles with my cat.

  3. Even though I really didn't want to, I managed to drag myself out of my depression pit to walk in the lovely spring weather while listening to my gay little pop music. It did, in fact, help.

Life isn't always easy, but I'm lucky that it's not usually that hard to think of three good things.

My 2024 reading thread is below!

Book 1: On a Sunbeam by Tillie Walden

5 stars

Stunning art, lovely found family, and a fun sci fi setting, all while managing to strike the perfect balance between cozy and yearning.

Book 20 of 2024: Hild by Griffith (reread)

5 stars

I appreciated the depth of the research and craft even more on a reread. The 7th century setting is engrossing, and I absolutely love the protagonist. I first read this 10+ years ago and can see the impact of the style and themes on my own writing since then.

It's hard to keep all the similar-sounding names and politics straight, but Griffith does her best and the stunning prose more than makes up for it.
