I used to make websites. I wrote “Design for Community.” I designed the original Blogger. I created JPG Magazine, Fray, Kvetch, Cute-Fight, and more.

Now I grow flowers and turn them into CBD products for https://milkbarn.farm. I take care of 30-something chickens, 13 goats, 3 dogs, 2 cats, and my wife and myself in Boring, Oregon.

I keep hearing people say AI generated text "will get better” as if that’s a known, accepted fact.

But it's not a known, accepted fact. Massive language model AI text generators have been around for YEARS, and they've always been this bad, this prone to lying, this full of shit. We’re just getting it shoved in our faces now.

“It will get better” is a bet, not a statement of fact, and I bet against it.

TikTok finally turned the ad dial up enough to sour me on the entire app. So, like, Instagram before it, off it goes into the folder of apps I don’t use anymore.

I’ve always hated advertising, but the older I get the more I just have no patience for it.

Anyone who says “this is good for him actually” has pundit brain rot. In no world does being a convicted felon help you win undecided voters. Go talk to an actual person.

Also, anyone saying that being found guilty of fraud 34 times is good for him should immediately be asked how being found not guilty would have been bad for him.
