@andyc When you have the power to conduct your own investigations to the exclusion of the police, abuse of power is inevitable given you're only answerable to the Director General

Maybe, in fact, that's where it all went wrong? Maybe if the rozzers had been responsible for investigating, none of this would have happened?

After ~16 months of waiting the NHS has kicked out a Dermatologist appointment for me (which matches up very well with their prediction about a year ago); at 9:50am - yawwwn - my skin is normally still in bed.

So it would seem that the Tory's Rwanda idea was not the first time a British government planned to ship illegal immigrants off to somewhere. Labour, under Tony Blair, wanted to concentrate them on the Isle of Mull.

Christ, Rwanda will be like a holiday camp compared to the cold, wet and windy Scottish islands!

That wouldn't surprise me.

This year, when they start telling us what a terrible Christmas the High Street has had, they might be right this time. I think far more people have gone away this year, as it's quiet out there. We've noticed how fewer houses have put lights up around here than they usually do. We haven't put anything up, including decorations, as we're going away.

Of course, they'll know what to ask: "Hello, can you ask your IT guys why I can't send to you?"
