@hazelnot its effort no doubt. cost not bad. long run worth it IMHO. i still use old fashioned cheap drives that are slower but shrug. have a good backup routine. have i had drives fail in the past? yup.

This xz CVE is wild. Interested to see who added this happy little bit of code.

I run Fedora in a VM to test Linux builds of SotW. Using an old version of Fedora (37), which uses xz 5.2.5, my laziness pays off.
