Doing an online course on - I'm a bit rusty on queries. I'll be trying for the first time to create a DB test environment. Weird that I haven't tried it before, suppose having access to your own VM means less faffing around via a desktop machine. Also probably put off by all the girning I see on social media relating to Docker. Almost every day someone in my feed will complain about some setting or other that caused calamity and lost time...what delights/horrors await? 🤯

@scottishlass maybe I’m just old but I find apt install Postgres so much easier than docker. I will deal with docker if I need to basically “script” a deployment to do over and over, but for a one off, I still do things the old fashioned way.

Fellow mail administrators: do you get 1-2 crazy angry emails a year from someone that can't unsubscribe from your mailing list(s) only to find out they're not on them, and that their company has some broken forwarding/DNS aliasing setup?

We had one guy complain we were “hacking him” on 123/udp when he’d just promoted his crappy Windows box to stratum 1. (Our genuine stratum 2 was having the usual conversation)
