Su = Sugba (grill) using black rabbitfish

Tu = Tuwa/Tinuwa (stew) using mud clams also known as tuway; this clam is a little too salty for me

Kil = Kilaw/Kinilaw (raw) using yellowfin tuna, this was cooked in vinegar

Total cost: P1,100 ($18.70)

📍 Vietnamese Cuisine, Pagetek Foodcourt

Pagetek in Cuyonon means to fill one's stomach! It's a foodcourt along the main road right across Itoy's Coffee Haus (they serve the iconic cashew frappe).

This is Vietnamese Cuisine's seafood bowl (lots of garlic and a bit of surprise with the pineapple mixed in) and their excellent garlic cheese bread. I also liked their honey citron fruit tea, very generous with the berries. No photo, drank too fast...

Just learned that the oldest town in Palawan is called Cuyo and it has a fort built by the Spanish in 1680 and a church built in 1860... Except it's 12 hours away by boat from Puerto Princesa. The other destination I'm interested in is Balabac, the PH's westernmost undisputed island 50 km from Sabah, except the instructions to get there were overwhelming to say the least. This country is endlessly fascinating!

There is still something weird about Threads. The most insipid accounts get thousands of followers, and the most vapid posts get as much traction as they did on Twitter. I can’t get any traction there at all. The most pedestrian stuff I post here, Sky, or even on Twitter can get at least a respectable response. On Threads, almost nothing. Nada. Zip.

They would rather let Taylor Swift carry the studio on the back of her lore-obsessed, completionist fanbase than tell one good story to their own. It’s astonishing. And it’ll sell billions! I'm still very surprised at how much the campus has changed in recent years. Gyud Food Market, a huge food court with a variety of offerings that are sortaaa above student budget, was unimaginable during my undergraduate days.
