On my way in town stopped to get my bike inspected, didn’t have my registration & had to go back home. Finally got in town to do client work.
Finally, I am settling down for a delicious breakfast (yes I know it’s 3:30 PM) Greek place on Beacon (Saloniki)
And bracing myself for the delightful “south of Boston” traffic

Ok…so after a few years of it sitting, I’m gonna pull the bag with my Kayak in it out and see how bad a shape it’s in.
And yes I said “bag and kayak”. I built a skin on frame foldable kayak back in 2013, but haven’t pulled it out in like 3 years. So…🤞it’s in ok shape.

I was just looking to see if anyone else is having huge issues with Quicksilver (app launcher and more) on MacOS, and as a result of my searches have been struck by a huge urge to build a gaming machine using a G4 quicksilver case as the base. 😂

I REALLY need to stop reflexively typing in “news.google.com” as a “check on the news” reflex.

It really is just a habit, and the fact is I get a way better “news at a glance” from, say @Inoreader right off the bat
@Flipboard as well, but it showed me a bunch of stuff I had no interest in, so I need to clean my dashboard up a little there. 😀 (1/2)

So a few months before “The Matrix” released in theaters, I got my hands on a digital copy of it (didn’t know what it was, I had just been doing a lot of random downloading)

Me being me, time goes by & by the time I watched it, it had been out of the theaters for a couple months.

Amazingly, no one had spoiled the twist, so I got to watch it fresh. I thought it was awesome.

So a year later I bought it on DVD and I was shocked - it had MUSIC!?!?

Well, I went the $99 from IResQ route and got my iPad back today!

I waited 3 months to send it because I had an iPad Pro I used instead for the intervening time (I know, pobrecito me 😂)

But MAN I’m glad to have it back - the iPad Pro was just too big and heavy to carry around casually and read on.

It’s nice to see IResQ still doing a quality job (I used the once before like 8 years ago (oh 😂, that was for my 3rd gen iPad)

the doubt I give them another round of feedback making it clear. Next day it's worse. I sit there and patiently paint over, even explaining the steps I would take as a painter. They don't do it, anomalies start appearing when I say I want to keep the exact image but with changes. They can't. They simply don't have the eye to see the basic mistakes so the Ai starts to over compensate. We get people starting to appear in the images. These are obviously holiday snaps. "Remove the people" "What would you like them changed to?" "... grass. I just don't want them there" They can't do it. The one that can actually use photoshop hasn't developed the eye to see his mistakes, ends up getting angry at me for not understanding he can't make specific changes. The girl whose background was a little photography has given me 40 progressively worse images with wilder mistakes every time. This is 4 days into the project. I'm both pissed about the waste, but elated seeing ai fall at the first hurdle. It's not even that the images are

It's not even that the images are unusable, the people making them have no eye for what's wrong, no thicker skin for constructive criticism and feedback, no basic artistic training in perspective and functionality in what they're making. Yes the hype is going to pump more money into this. They won't go anywhere for a while. But this has been such a glowing perfect moment of watching the fundamental part fail in the face of the most simple tasks. All were fired and the company no longer accepts Ai prompters as applicants. Your training as an artist will always be the most important part of this process and it is invaluable.
