I went to a viking renactment event at the weekend, here are some pics.

The dress I am wearing was made by my mum and is authentic. It was a three day thing and we slept over in the village, it was super cold and horrible to sleep in 😅. It was pretty cool tho.

I mostly spent my time wood carving and making a broom. The cat is a stray and is well loved by the park and has her own house there.

I crocheted a dinner place-mat as well as coasters. I think I need to make it bigger though to fit bigger plates better.

But yeh I'm working on making an entire table mat set. The colours are kinda boring but it's kinda meant too I guess.

The composition of the yarn is (entirely) recycled cotton and recycled synthetic yarn.

I had a bunch of yarn from a bundle of cheap yarn. I wanted to make a blanket and had enough of the same type and colour to make a lovey blanket which a small baby comfort blanket thing.

Somehow only after I finished I realised that it has trans colours.

It did not take me long at all tbh. I think I may be getting faster and more confident at crocheting in general. Yey.

I need to sow in the ends tho still.

I made this today. I had this old canvas art that was ripped so I removed it leaving only the wooden frame.

I had some old jeans which alas I could not mend and so I cut it up into into strips... or rather in the panels that were used to make the jeans.

I stretched the jeans over the frame and attached them using thumb tacks... Kinda like wrapping paper.

Done two before, how does it look?

I recently started doing viking renactment with my mum, aunt and sister. I've only be to one late last year but going again next weekend.

We have been making our costumes instead of buying them. My mum made my dress and my aunt tablet weaved this autentic belt.

I finished making this scarf last night. I wondered how it was going to look as I used a bunch of random second hand yarn balls of various sizes.

I don't know if all the colours go to be honest, but that could be its charm.

I've made it to a pretty simple pattern of a foundation row and then several rows of triplets. I think I might have done it way too long XD I started length ways.

Hows it look? I'll put it on my ebay soon.

I dreamed of the most beautiful woman I have ever seen, though still remembering what she looked like she was pretty but wierd. I'd 100% say she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen in my dreams.

She was fully naked, her body was pale and she had these big blue strips across her body which I realised they veins that were stretched across her body. Got the impression it was veins and not a tattoo or paint.

I remember her face and she was pretty attractive.

I crocheted another one of these trinket bowl things. Someone asked me to make them some and I am pretty proud with the first of the four.

I kept finding it difficult to finish the end of the rows and keeping it looking natural and not ridged... kinda hard to explain. I'm never too happy with how I come to the ends of items where I am crocheting in circles... but this is okay.

Crocheted another dish or face cloth. Thought the colours would clash but it kinda look like bubblegum.

It looks kinda wonk as the yarn is different slightly: like it tight in some areas and in others pretty loose.

I really need to work on my Ebay store tbf super hard. Need to write up a whole ass list of crap I need to make too.

My last Dungeons and Dragons character had a relationship with a decapitated sentient arm called Armarella. It was crazy but the campaign was in the Fae-lands so it made sense.

Just thought what a cool idea for an NPC. Maybe someone got sliced with a magical chaos blade and the residual magical contaminates the limb and causes it to have its own sentience.

Made another necklace (left). It is a component from a cheap digital weighting scale that died. The previous one I did was a was a component off a plug. Got loads of these things so I may sell them cheap someplace.

I have discovered that I have more items that I wrote stored away someplace... meaning I am half way through my project of creating what I will now call Tessia's Deck of Acquirement...or something.

In a low dusty valley there lies several man-made tunnels in soft yellow stone. This valley was mined, and the material was exported to construct the buildings in nearby settlements.

This is one of those areas that was mined. When mining stopped a small fort or retreat of sorts was created here.

Several tunnel collapses have occured due to seasonal flooding. The elevated section is kept dry all year round.

I sometimes try and make lil' 5e Dungeons and Dragons adventures to go along with these maps I draw.

I have drawn a map every monday since like November so I have a fair few; alas I will never write an adventure for each one.

The adventure modules that I have written can be found here. None of them are long but I am looking to build on them and extend them and maybe piece them together like chapters of a much larger story.

I made this wall art/canvas thing a few years ago. I made it from an old pair of jeans and a wooden frame I scavaged from a discarded canvas picture thing.

I basically just cut up the jeans and pinned it to one side stretched it across and secured it the other side.

How'd it look? I might make another soon.

I work with teens every day and can't get this story out of my mind. Despite this the push to weaken labor regulations continues.

I crocheted another tinket bowl thing. Think I messed it up slightly but it looks okay.

I have loads more of this really thick yarn so I my sell them on my ebay.. I don't really have much on there at the moment but I need to make a catalogue of sorts.

I crocheted a pair of fingerless gloves. They are pretty cool I think. They are done to a super simple pattern. Basically I crocheted a square and attached the edges of the top to bottom, leaving a gap for the thumb and boom.

I've managed to master hats, scarves and now gloves :D

I haven't crocheted in a few days and had lots of thick yarn so I decided to make a trinket dish or coin dish (or idk tray).

I thought I should make something different and it was very simple. I'm glad the yarn was thick enough for it to be ridged and keep the shape without looking flimsy.

How'd it look to ya'll?
