One sweet thing about this spring that I have noticed is that there are a lot more bees, butterflies, and birds around, taking advantage of my unmowed yard and the flowering plants I have been gradually adding. Last year, it seemed that there were fewer insects and birds than normal, so this may be just a respite from what's to come, but I'm glad for the pollinator surge anyway. Maybe my tiny efforts will help some.

@Bard Well mine was partly spurred on by having some of my son's clothes in my laundry so needing to sort those out.

But the other thing that helped a lot is that I have an IKEA shelf with the cloth bins. I don't fold clothes. There's one for bralettes, two for tops (work and house) and two for pants (work and house).

Putting away takes less than 5 min.

I've got my two best IRL friends into watching Dimension 20, they've started with Fantasy High S1. And I'm just SO excited.

I'll never understand gatekeeping. More ppl into the thing you love means more ppl to squeal about it with. Why is this a bad thing??

I want to get some sort of "Welcome to Bag End" style sign to hang in my entryway.

Maybe like a wooden or brass sign, or even a cross stitch I can do.

But I'm also not wanting exactly "Bag End" as the name, it's just those are the vibes I want.

When someone walks into my home I want them to feel as though they've stepped into a Ghibli-style Hobbit house with a dusting of Discworld Witches.

I have so many great audiobooks and none of them are hitting the spot right now.

I just want something I can fall asleep too. That's familiar, but not too familiar. /sigh

If they ever develop an ai that can read my brain and tell me what book/movie/show/game I'm in the mood for... That, that I would find useful. Work on THAT.

Listening to my son chat with friends on discord, swapping seamlessly between English, French and Korean... I'm so proud.

I did something right as a parent. I've raised a kid with a love of other cultures, and respect for them. And a mind that wants to learn.

My parents wanted to keep my world so very small... And I give them two big middle fingers and a fuck you, as I give my son the world.

Some days the 'tism just fucking gets ya man.

Between finding the tire flat, then running a meeting for an hour with a board member present (apparently it went well!), then having to get my tire fixed like right away...

So much masking...

Got home and spent like 2 hrs in bed watching instagram reels.
