I think I got ripped off and spent way more than I should have on this button machine but we can have stuff like this now. Is it still #handmade ?? #indieArtist#smallBusiness
I think I can make a lot of stuff now! It's just a matter of doing it and having a stock but I don't think I need to feel like I'm not "good enough". Lit some tables at Fanime were selling only prints and boobs. Not saying that booby art prints are bad, just that I think I can make stuff and have fun! #smallBusiness#indieartist
I've created a variety of amigurumi crochet mushrooms plushies and keychains for sale. If you're interested in adding unique handmade items to your collection, check them out here! https://buff.ly/4bunkOQ
Even though there's more than a million and one ways to paint, I'd like to share some insight into my process while making this Vaporwave Angel... (see Insta post)
Back from garden centre.
Winds blew me over, into laurel bushes, on my way to backyard. I didn't fall to the ground, the bush caught me. I'm not injured. I get knocked over in high winds often & have to walk with safety help(when someone is available) to avoid falling to the ground & getting injured.
The sun emerged for an hour.
I went to get stakes & also picked up a pre-order of chicken feed for a neighbour who has a sprained ankle & unable to drive for awhile.

A dangerous thing to see when walking by the craft beer shop on my way home. Tried a taste of Dovetail's new pils - I think I might have to go try it more at their brewery around the corner.
"Even as industry sales were slow in 2023, membership in the American Booksellers Assn. continued its years-long revival. It now stands at 2,433, more than 200 over the previous year and nearly double since 2016. About 190 additional stores are in the process of opening over the next two years, according to the ABA."
So after a year+ back on etsy I've decided it's cheaper to just run my own site and I'll probably still have the same amount of sales
Etsy is costing me about $150 a year and I'm selling about $30 more than that.... that's a lot of fees
Which if I have to pay retail or even wholesale for supplies, it's basically $0 profit and the only reason I had any profit this last year is because most of my sales were digital patterns
So now I'm creating yet another website and realizing I have so (1/?)
Much stock I never listed and why are there so many earrings? I have about half of them listed, & all the memory wire bracelets, but none of the regular ones or necklaces.
And I still have like 50 knitted beanies I need to photograph plus other things.
I'm tired just thinking about it too be honest.
I'm also kinda of dreading having to do more self-promotion but maybe that will get easier in time
Today's goal is to finish photographing & listing the earrings. (2/?)
It’s been getting harder and harder to reach an audience on social media these days, so I‘m really grateful to everyone who supports small artists like myself. 💜
"The website helps readers find specific titles at their local bookstores and also features a directory that allows users to look for indie bookstores near them [in Canada] and to filter the results by specific amenities, such as those with cafes or that sell CDs and records."
