The drain pipe under the kitchen sink rotted and snapped off, resulting in water leaking into the cupboards for 2 days then down into the crawl space and all over my husband's Lego Xmas village stuff.
The plumber just wrapped up replacing all the piping under there AND the leaky faucet out back for the hose.
Man am I excited for new drains & faucet that doesn't spray you in the face! 🤣
(And thankfully Lego is waterproof!)

Should I be at all concerned at the fact that when an upstairs/3rd floor apartment unit flushes their toilet, when the water reaches my unit area, there's enough force to shake the lid of my toilet? As in, enough force through that water passing to shift things, in a sense?
I just worry the pipes are being moved around somehow and could burst or otherwise...
Adventures in plumbing. Following a YouTube tutorial I was able to remove the handles of the leaky Delta faucet. It turned out that the reason none of my Allen wrenches fit in the set screws was that the set screws were missing. 🤦🏼♀️ Anybody know if they’re important? There were also no seats and springs under the cartidges. I thought all Delta faucets had those. 🤔 #plumbing#diy
Live in a large multi-story apartment. Leak in my bathroom ceiling for a few minutes nightly around 7-8pm. Shown maintenance video of the leak, but they haven't seen it firsthand because it occurs after their work hours. Maintenance tried running the shower and splashing water onto the wall for every apartment above mine and for the adjacent apartments above mine. Ah. I see. So the inlet pipe leading to the water filter is 1" PVC, and the pipe on the outlet side is 3/4" CPVC, and the fittings are both 3/4" threaded. Thankfully not unworkable with what's lying around, since a trip to the hardware store is at least 2 hours.
(Now for the rotting wood box that was housing it all.)
