Saturday morning I do non computer things. This morning it was looking for a leak in my shower drain. My house is 14 feet in the air and just before my daughters wedding I saw drips coming from under there.

Climbed up to inspect it today and nothing - it’s all clean and dry, even after running the show hot for thirty minutes.

US codes seem to be kept inside a Tor-hostile : https://www.iapmo.org/publications/read-uniform-codes-online/ So if you get any heat for not following a plumbing code, there’s your defense… the plumbing code is not openly accessible to the public.

koherecoWatchdog,

At the same time, the assholes are trying to monatize the #plumbing code by selling copies, so they’ve pushed #JavaScript that breaks #library access (#InternetArchive #WaybackMachine): https://web.archive.org/web/20220626171403/epubs.iapmo.org/2021/UPC/

koherecoWatchdog,

Would a /freedom of information act/ (#FoIA) request be a remedy here? If the #plumbing code could be foribly disclosed, perhaps it could be made into a PDF that archive.org serves. I can’t tell whether #IAPMO is a gov agency or private. #askfedi
