https://youtu.be/G1MZPJ_RnwQ?si=iRVDftACkoTZeXmc New video is up on YouTube. This week I have some fun with painting up an Imperial Guard Commissar inspired by Carl from Starship Troopers, with some How I Met Your Mother thrown in for good measure.
I was challenged to paint up a Tyranid inspired by the Xenomorph from Alien, I felt it needed something a bit more than just painting black and some drybrushing.
Now this robot is almost fully dressed! Need to even out a stripe or two and then it's ready for decals and basing, and I can move on to the nextt mech.
Some of you saw my random posts as I painted up the Series 1 #miniatures of #FinalGirl but I've finally got them into a collected blog post. Not only are there just pictures, but descriptions of the styles, products, and colors I used as I went through this #PaintingMiniatures journey. Enjoy!
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you...
SHARKENBEAR!!!
From the new Wildspire set I just got. A true monster.
Ruddy fur for fur, Grim black highlights. Poppy red in mouths. Sharks are battleship Grey underneath and runic Grey on top.
Teeth are acrylic white with palid bone. Base is gravelord Grey.
Should have a lot of fun with this one, he can do some crazy stuff. I'll include the stats in comments. #minipainting#miniaturepainting#paintingminiatures#dnd#mini#speedpaint
Bit more progress here. Popped on the Wyldwood for the hard leather, did another rough coat on both the whites and the creamy cloths, then a big old dunk of Agrax. I’ll drybrush the white to bring it up again and do the remaining leathers, and that’ll be me onto weapons/metals and final touch ups. Then what I really want to be doing - shields!!
I fell in love with this Midlam Miniatures model as soon as I saw it. A Villager with his pig! The only way it could have been better is if it was Hobbit.
The power fist was cast from the left hand with a repositioned thumb. You can swap the chaos star symbol with a heavy flamer or combi-bolter attachement.
