#K9Mail integration with #OpenKeychain#pgp stuff is kinda broken after an update to the former. The app crashes everytime I write an email, because I have draft encryption enabled
@thunderbird Better to take some more time to prepare a proper release – looking forward to it and kudos for keeping Thunderbird on @fdroidorg.
Still, any news about future encryption options, especially via #OpenPGP? Pretty much all #Android email clients rely on #Openkeychain to manage all your keys. Sadly it is still unmaintained and desperately needs a replacement or someone to take over development. Look at issues like this: https://github.com/open-keychain/open-keychain/issues/2856 #Thunderbird for Android will also rely on this unmaintained app.
With #tailscale#ssh i can use every #nix buildon my machine with my phone , without installing a single thing on phone but ssh utils
iirc it wasnt the same with plain ssh
@rml
another example #openkeychain automates most of my #gpg workflow on phone
Then there s #termux
ofc its not a substitute of root , but its something.

So, if you are familiar with Signal and using [Silence] 1, I have some excellent news for you. A keyboard for Android implemented the Signal protocol without the need for servers. This lets you have encrypted messages between two Android users over any channels you have available.
