🧵 1. In diesem Long-Thread möchte ich eine Organisation von christlichen Rechten vorstellen, die auch für Europa relevant ist. Das ist die Alliance Defending Freedom, kurz ADF International.
SPLC (Southern Poverty Law Center) beschreibt die Organisation folgendermaßen (in deutscher Übersetzung):
„Die Alliance Defending Freedom wurde von etwa 30 Führern der christlichen Rechten gegründet und ist eine juristische Interessenvertretung und Schulungsgruppe, die Folgendes hat:
während Evangelikale ihre Misogynie, ihren Antifeminismus und ihren Antigenderismus mit der Bibel begründen, ist schon mehr als dreist und brandgefährlich.

Everybody knows that there is no connection between having the power to send people to Rwanda and people choosing to cross the channel in inflatable boats. Just because some Tories claim that this is the point of the policy and that it will have that effect does not make that true.

When the Government moans about judicial oversight it is really moaning about judicial oversight of its immigration decisions. Almost all of the JRs that it has to fight are immigration related. It could just stop making terrible, unlawful decisions to beat on 'foreigners'.
Almost all of its 'ouster' clauses, restricting review, apply in immigration law contexts. Removing protection from arbitrary executive power to 'foreigners' is racist. It is not surprising that this is how the law works but it should be called out at every opportunity #LawFedi, #Migration, #NoBorders@immigration
The #UK government are still trying to get people onto the #BibbyStockholm barge. It is a depraved policy. It should also fail. Here is why:
Anyone with really poor mental or physical health can't be housed on the boat. It is unlawful and can be challenged in court, if activists and lawyers work together.

If we think practically the government's cruelty can be made unworkable
The border guards of Finland are telling asylum seekers they are not allowed to apply for asylum in Finland at the border to Russia, according to one who had fled the war in Syria and was interviewed by the news agency STT, saying that they were told they can go apply for asylum at Norway's border to Russia instead.

Also know that it has already been colder than -32°C this winter in some of those areas.
Then know that these people seek refuge from war and persecution on foot or on bicycles.
Yes, of course the border guards actions violate international law. If a person applies for asylum, then they have the right to due process, but now that the right/far-right rule, that doesn't matter as long as the people die and suffer.

Deshalb hat die rechtsextreme Regierung Finnlands, die schon mehrere Skandale mit Nazi-Verbindungen hatte, heute die letzte Grenzstation geschlossen, und zwar ausdrücklich mit dem Ziel, dieses universelle Menschenrecht zu behindern, obwohl es bereits vor Jahren regiert wurde, das EU-Gericht hat festgestellt, dass dies (in diesem Fall Österreich) zu diesem Zweck illegal ist.
Zuvor hatten finnische Grenzschutzbeamte Flüchtlinge dazu gedrängt, stattdessen an der noch weiter nördlich gelegenen Grenze zwischen Norwegen und Russland ihre Rechte einzufordern.
