My first #AgeOfSigmar models, I think. Cloaks are gradations of contrast, and technical paints.
Those gorgeous bases are so full of details I went with a just nuln oil and agrax wash approach to contrast the vivid greens, with the occasional splash of colour or metallics
For a one-session-and-done #speedpaint I'm pretty happy.
I for one will finally be bothering my ass for a change and downloading this ruleset - and discussing with my 3D printer endowed pals. I can only recommend you do the same, everything @pidgeon_pete turns his hands to is a pure joy.
Well done pal on getting this one across the line!
@rollleafd mate far too kind. I appreciate the signal boost on it, I kinda felt run down all week so feel like I limped across the line but some polish and some better promotion materials should lift it up a little.
@Moah it really is amazing to have the space to spread out but I don't know that I would again for mental health reasons - I need to be able to close away things and have an uncluttered living space. When I bought my first place I didn't think I was ever going to have kids, couldn't stand the idea lol. Then something just changed and voila. Never been particularly well off so I make do and I am happy with that. I think I've posted it before but I think I make very do with my cupboard space
Moria’s coming along well, although printing has stopped since it’s gotten cold. Having problems with the resin not developing. Waiting for a heater for the printer. But happy with how these pieces have come out. Solved the issue with resin suction by adding an additional drain hole in the prints. #moria#miniatures#MiddleEarthStrategyBattlegame
A Freeguild Marshal with a random helmet (Victoria Minis, I think) a good sized demon skull, and a holstered shotgun from the Arbites. Just a few changes tweaks the era just enough.
All of these minis are a proper execution of grimdark. The are desaturated and dull colored, but still painted neatly and with proper attention to details. It’s refreshing against “grimdark” that is just people dumping buckets of brown wash on minis.
Steelhelm body with GSC shotgun and Stormcast helm. I originally thought two pauldrons would be too much, now one looks like too little. Maybe if it were on the leading arm it would be better? I may need to add some metallics to show chipping on the helm and pauldron still.
Bit of green accent to use these guys for Eire Rangers once there is a whole group of them.
@SpiceMerchant@tabletopminis love this dude.
"What you got in the box there?"
"What box?"
"Come on, the box on the stick your holding"
"I don't know what you're..."
"It's another severed head isn't it!"
"Aw don't ruin the surprise"
