I just watched this video by #ContraPoints simply titled, "Men." I can't recommend it enough, if you're looking for a hilariously dry breakdown of the discourse surrounding the concept of "men's issues," that is also a compassionate and well-spoken call to action for building a healthier aspirational masculinity model.
I had never seen ContraPoints' videos before, but I will absolutely be subscribing. This is a recurring panic, a tool repeatedly employed by the political-religious right to instill fear. The fear that those employing this tool want to instill is fear of necessary social changes to give rights to previously marginalized groups — people of color, women, LGBTQ people.
