The doctor Mohammad Amro was volunteering in a main hospital in war torn Gaza and said,”The situation there is #catastrophic.”
The hospital system is barely functional. Disease is running rampant. #MedicalWorkers are being kidnapped, tortured & killed. The world is letting it happen.
#Israeli attacks against “enemy” #hospitals date back at least to the siege of Beirut in 1982. In previous assaults against #Gaza, #Israel often targeted doctors in their sleep, by collapsing a lethal mass of concrete-usually in the form of a multigenerational home-atop the doctor & tens of their family members.

Israeli forces block #WHO medicine, fuel for Nasser Hospital
For almost 10 hours now, there’s been two trucks filled with medical supplies outside of Nasser Hospital. They’re also carrying much-needed fuel for generators to provide power to the besieged health facility.
These two trucks were sent by the World Health Organization but have been blocked by Israeli military tanks and bulldozers. They’ve been surrounded and prevented from moving.
There’s been about 400 attacks on health centres since the war began in October.
“It’s complete neglect of the rules that guide conduct during armed conflict. We’re hearing reports of patients being killed in their hospital beds, artillery fired directly into the hospital, patients killed because electricity was cut. It’s another example of the catastrophic neglect of the Palestinian people. It is beyond tragic and fills you with sadness and rage.”

#Israel has disabled most #Gaza#hospitals. Obliterating access to medical treatment is a badge of #genocide and a violation of international #law. Western racism and a shit-ton of money allow Israel to act with impunity.
The Israeli military has already destroyed the northern gate of the hospital and blocked it with a pile of debris and sand. The hospital area has turned into a battle zone with the vast majority of buildings and roads in the vicinity destroyed.
Soldiers are shooting at everything in sight – including a doctor and a nurse. There are bodies in the courtyard. Those people were killed after being told to evacuate. @palestine #Gaza #hospitals #NasserHospital
