Je ne sais plus dans quel contexte c’était mais il y a quelques années, j’ai entendu (ou lu) la phrase « La vie des abeilles solitaires appartient aux chapitres les plus attachants de la biologie animale ». Je ne sais plus d’où ou de qui elle provient ni ce qu’elle signifie. Évidemment je pourrais la chercher sur internet (et peut-être découvrir que je l’ai imaginée) mais où serait l’intérêt ? 😁
Mais bref, voilà une abeille. Bien que quand on pense « abeille » on pense ruche et vie en société, la majeure partie du genre Apis est composée d’espèces d’abeilles solitaires, qui ne travaillent que pour elles 😌

The phoenix that rose and flew high. Too blinded by their pride to see others plans to cut their wings. The red fire that burns the blue flesh was about to be extinguished.
A recent photo of my sketchbook, still training with ballpoint pen directly, a cruel training. But I am beginning to get a better ability to imagine perspective grids without tracing them, and I can even begin to plan full-page compositions. It takes a while to build these new skills, but they are worth it.
I just recently got into the world of #Pen's and wish I had gotten into it sooner. A primer:
🖊️ #BallpointPen: The ones you see everywhere. You need to push pretty hard to write. Tiring to use. Cost: free
✒️ #FountainPen: ink flows down a fancy pen nib onto your page. Almost zero pressure required, but is finicky about the angle you hold it. Cost: ~$20 (refills cheap)
🖊️ #Rollerball pen: Ballpoint convenience, fountain pen ink, requires less pressure to write. Cost: ~$2 (refills pricier

@paradoxmo upon reflection, I made a mistake: The pen I bought was not designed to be filled with fountain pen type ink... No cartridges for me. It was an inexpensive mistake, at the very least.
From the looks of it, a Schneider Ray might be better.
But hey, besides that Minor mistake, I can't really complain about it. It's remarkably smooth to write with, I just can't make microscopic notes like I occasionally do
