@Krise_DIY@longcovid what Airinum did tell me is that the #ventilation rate or 'Clean Air Delivery Rate' (#CADR) was 8.7 m³/h. The research I attached in my original post mentions ">99.97% at 7.1 ventilation volumes", but I cannot find the unit. If it is indeed 7.1m³/h, then it sounds like the Hale #airpurifier is exceeding the ratio.
@Krise_DIY@longcovid yes, this one is a personal #airpurifier, that only works if you stand within a certain range. It sounds like you are talking of a purifier for an entire room (classroom type), which is a different beast, hence the differences in volume.

So I bought a HEPA #AirPurifier for the truck, after getting #COVID from my husband recently.
All the anti-viral nasal sprays & vaccine boosters in the world aren’t going to save you during a 40 minute commute carpooling with a contagious person, but maybe with an air purifier running in there too I’ll have a fighting chance? At any rate, for <$90 I figure it’s worth a shot!
We hung it on a back seat headrest. It’s plugged into a center console outlet & I ran the power cord behind the headrest & under the floor mat to keep it out of the way.
If you keep it on the Auto setting, it uses a particulate sensor to decide how fast to run. You can also manually set it to low, medium, or high. On medium you can hardly hear it running.
I'm finally coming to the conclusion that I'd like an #AirPurifier for the house with HEPA filter for COVID mitigations. I'm looking for recommendations, especially from my fellow #NewZealand dwellers, as that limits what I've got access to purchase.
The air quality here is terrible today. I suspect it is terrible where you are too... if not today, probably some day soon. Because this is the new normal. 😑
If you don't already have a good quality air purifier for your home, might I recommend making a Corsi-Rosenthal box? They're cheaper and better than most commercially available purifiers.
I made 3 today. One for my house, one for my parents, and one for my sister. They're pretty easy to put together in about 45 min.
