A lot of frustration these past days. I hoped to find one of the missing part by rebuilding the 8285 in its A model but unfortunately I still miss some parts and a crucial gear for my #porsche GT3 RS... I will have to buy the missing parts...
So here is the 8285 Tow Truck in its A form. Which I prefer, but still a PITA to build!
The first Lego Technic I wanted to show you. But as some parts were missing, I had to build the other ones. It still miss a piece Cross Axle 5M, replaceable by a 4M.
It's my first one, 8279 4WD X-Tracker from 1999, 449 parts according to rebrickable. Bricklink doesn't have the count and Lego only have the manual.
Motorized and this is why I don't like motors in Lego: you have to replace the batteries often and can't use it when batteries are low. 1/2
The representation of the motor is ejectable from the rear when the truck pass the line. Rubber bands allows this ejection. I didn't place them as they tend to dry and become unusable. 2/2
