It's all systems go for a new series set in the same universe as "The Office." Variety reports that a mockumentary set at a dying historic Midwestern newspaper, ostensibly shot by the crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin, has been picked up for a full series at Peacock. Here's more:
Okay call me late to the party but I've just watched an interview with Rainn Wilson and my brain finally understood that Dwight from #TheOffice and Harry Mudd from #StarTrekDiscovery are played by the same person. 🤯
Zoinks! Digital Trends has compiled a list of 10 TV shows that they say are overrated, from "Parks and Recreation" ("overly hopeful") to "The Bear" ("a great dramedy, but award shows and audiences keep treating it as Christ’s second coming, which it most certainly isn’t."). Here's the full list. We want to know: Which of these do you think are overhyped, or just don't stand the test of time (choose as many as you like)? Tell us in the comments if there's another show that's critically adored but that you just can't see the appeal of.
I was at Ollie's yesterday with my wife and I stumbled into finding the third omnibus of the Batman: Knightfall story, also referred to as "Knights End."
It was $5. I thought about it for a moment, then remembered that I had a gift card that I had not used from Christmas from Amazon, so I could just pick up Volumes 1 and 2 easily.
So, looks like I'm re-reading Knightfall for the first time since I was about 10.
I disagree with the Ravens' decision to not play Jackson. I mean, what do I know...
...but it's a Division rivalry game where we already lost to them once this season. And we can really prevent the Steelers from getting into the playoffs if we win.
So, why not play our former MVP starter even for part of the game?
"Maybe there's some sort of animal we can make a sacrifice to, like [...] with the head of a monkey... with the antlers of a reindeer and.. ah.. the body of a.. porcupine."
Tonight, I'll be watching the final episode of #TheOffice. Whenever I finish a TV series, it feels like the end of an era. It's the same feeling I get when I complete a graphic adventure game. Somehow, it feels like it accompanied me through a phase of my life, and The Office has been a part of my evenings for many months. This is why there are some series and games I've never completed, simply because I'm too attached to them. I confess: I've never (by choice) finished Zak McKracken.
Secret...here's a great mash up to listen to at work to find a solution to any problem. Close your office door. Crank the volume on your Air pods. Close your eyes. Listen to the song three times. Think about Jimi and Jay. Eyes open. Drink a cold glass of water-gulp it down.Wait three minutes, then the solution will appear. https://youtu.be/1Z5LHzlPaiE?si=8h4C597EbtM4HBlV #music#mentalhealth#brainstorming#procrastination#theoffice
I thought one of the biggest problems the writers had was using AI to regurgitate old content. Come up a new show concept. Many are still happily watching the show to this day. #TheOffice#WritersStrike
For the Vergecast David Pierce talks about how AI voices are taking over the internet — He explores the exciting and yet frightening possibilities of the technology as it continues to advance and improve on replicating our own voices.
Illustrated nicely the tension between the genuine utility of these systems vs all the ethical and governance problems they may create.
What was also interesting how subjective it is to rate the authenticity of these #AI#voices, but it only takes one fake to get through to potentially cause havoc.
Oh and of the many possible Dwight Schrute quotes, good choice! 😉 #theoffice#theofficeus
