I have just released #TangerineUI v1.9.5 with a workaround for this issue where the bottom toolbar could overlap with the system UI on iOS when Mastodon is added to the Home Screen.
With this approach it's pretty easy to cover a wide variety of hashtags with a small selection of custom icons.
The only limit is the dictionary of keywords will necessarily only include a handful of languages by default (right now I'm mostly using English, German, and French). But I think it would be pretty easy for admins and users to add their own keywords in the CSS file, or in an additional separate CSS file.
Tangerine UI is a custom theme for Mastodon's Web UI. It features a soft color palette, a bubblier look, round avatars, and a more compact timeline that should be easier on your eyes.
Tangerine UI auto-switches from dark and light mode based on your OS preference, and comes in 2 variants: tangerine 🍊 and purple 🪻
Bonjour, je contribue à IceShrimp (une alternative compatible avec Mastodon) et dans le but d’améliorer l’outil je souhaite poser cette question aux #mastonautes :
Wow, #TangerineUI for Mastodon by @nileane is FANTASTIC. Here I am, a devout follower of the colour purple, being lured away by orange. Who'd have thought. (Though the theme is available in purple too)
@roldyclark not user configurable yet, but that is something that is on my list of things to do after the post-upgrade issues are resolved. I am currently just testing the #TangerineUI but I will be reverting to the default theme in a moment.
Exciting news! We've just rolled out TangerineUI on Buddyverse.xyz 🎉.
Head over to your settings, and you can now select your preferred theme! We've got your back whether you're into MastodonBirdUI or the vibrant Tangerine UI.
