The birb is either laying an egg or sitting on an egg or meditating about life's deepest secrets. Definitely do not have smartphone addiction, this one.
Bird nest building in full swing! I see two of them together sometimes, hopping about the branches of my garden plants. So cute.
They go back and forth a few times a day, and at night they go somewhere else to sleep. Once they shift in I would have to be very careful not to scare them!
Palestinians foiled an Israeli campaign to change the bird’s name.
The scientific name of the Palestine Sunbird is Nectarinia Osea. The bird has blue, green, orange, black and purple colours, moves quickly and feeds on the nectar of roses.
The Palestinian sunbird was declared the national bird of Palestine in 2015 after Israel tried to change its name in their ongoing effort to erase Palestinian identity. The Palestinian sunbird is now a symbol of hope and freedom.
As long as prints are sold, all proceeds will go to Medical Aid Palestine (MAP).
Thanks for the info! However, I had to fish a bit for the lede (especially with the confusing company name), which I attempt to restate more clearly here:
Wow, this is so unexpected… not like there were a million red flags or anything.
Anyway, TL;DR #Sunbird is provably insecure, they store your messages in plain text and the token they transmit over plain HTTP has full access.
@majorlinux Unfortunately, the problem with #Sunbird is that it does not have true #E2EE: they log into your Apple ID on a Mac Mini in a datacenter, and then decrypt and re-encrypt the messages on that Mac. The messages are encrypted in transit, but it is not end-to-end in any manner. This was confirmed in MKBHD's video.
This is kind of disappointing to me, because true E2E encryption is possible, I worked on my #pypush project which implements the #iMessage protocol from scratch (no Mac), #Beeper bought it so hopefully should be available in the future.
@jjtech My experience with #Beeper is the same with #Sunbird. I had a random #Mac associated with my #Apple ID. It initially kept me from using that advanced encryption Apple offered.
I know the weird reliance/obsession over #iMessage and what colours their bubbles are on their stock Messages app is a very US thing, but #Nothing working with #Sunbird to "bring" iMessage over to #Android is pretty cool or at least funny lol - it really highlights what trivial things people could care (too much) about.
I was already highly considering switching to #Nothing, but this might lock me in.
"Nothing Chats is a first-of-its-kind app developed in partnership with #Sunbird, which allows you to message other #iMessage users via blue bubbles on your Nothing Phone."
The chicks are literally growing into their colours now. Before, they were a downy black and grey, now you can see splashes of yellow. Aww its like watching babies growing up
Mum and dad #sunbird is out all day these days to find food to feed these young 'uns
Children can be so demanding, eh?
PS: Still cant believe this nest is right next to my living room and I have been at the very beginning watching the parents pick out the spot to build the nest until now, feeding their chicks! Follow the story #balconynest
