A friend bought me this when it came out in ‘13, and it took me a while to click with it. Now, I listen to it multiple times a year, and it’s become a fun album I consistently revisit.
Super #stonerrock goodness, particularly the song “What’s In My Head?”.
This time I'll go for #MusicWomenWednesday by @loewe with Seattle's Stoner/Doom - Duo YEAR OF THE COBRA. It's Amy Tung on vocals and bass together with Jon Barrysmith on drums. Amy's voice mixed with this heavy dark bass got something special ;)

I found an interesting album today! "Woodland Rites" by Green Lung. Pretty cool sound and somewhere between stoner rock and stoner metal with doomy influences? I'm not sure where to put it.
Anyway, great for the evening and to calm down.
Recommended songs: "Initiation", "The Ritual Tree", "May Queen" and "Into the Wild". I really liked and will certainly listen to the album more often :)
This music tends to get described as 'stoner rock' or sometimes 'stoner doom'. But let's face it, it's just a new crop of old school psychedelic rock, played by metallers ; )

My best friend from my home region is on visit we sat on a good friends terrace and had alcoholic drinks. I'm drunken now because I'm not used to it anymore. So I will listen to some more songs and maybe torturing my neighbours with my singing.
It's #RegionalRiffs time again. An amazing band from here in Arizona (that I really miss- they broke up after their 2017 album) was TWINGIANT. Gnarly, heavy shit. Bass player Jared's rough growl-scream vocals, walls of guitars, doomy, some Motorhead in there too. I saw em twice and we hung out both times too (once with my now wife before we were married!)
Twingiant left us with FOUR amazing albums, starting with Mass Driver in 2012, all linked below. I still have my ratty Twingiant shirt from this era and you're damn right I still wear it.
