24 May 1660: Samuel Pepys #diarist meets Thomas Killigrew #playwright & #producer ‘a gentleman of great esteem with the King’ on board ‘The Royal Charles’ carrying Charles II back to #England#otd (NPG)
Got a Playwright question - in my tests I'm clicking a button which in the backend sends an email. I tried to use Jest to mock that function in the backend so it doesn't send an email, but that doesn't seem to work. Should it?
I could check for NODE_ENV in the backend and not send an email, but I'd like access to the email contents in my playwright test, but without actually sending an email.
Peter Schuler hat uns von seinem Vortrag „Wie automatisierte Akzeptanztests Continuous Delivery
ermöglichen“ die Folien, ein Demo Repository und sogar eine Aufzeichnung zur Verfügung gestellt! 🧡
„To be honest there is one #TYPO3 magician called jpmschuler who is updating everything on each night, but then you need to have lot of frontend/functional testing to be sure everything is working as before"
Peter lässt uns heute Abend an seiner Magie auf Basis von #Playwright teilhaben.
@webology Thanks for the hint. I just tried it for one site, were I also was unable to create a result and it simply blocked anything what is not a browser. May be, I should use Playwright for all request in my little scraper.
@oliverandrich I like to keep track of my college basketball team and where they rank on the NBA draft boards. Most of these draft boards are compiled by gambling websites, and Playwright is the only tool that will work on them. They are pretty battle-hardened.
I tend to start with httpx and then I quickly pivot to Playwright if I need a real browser.

Biggie Announcement: I'm officially a #playwright! Woohoo!
My comedy 10-minute play "Carthago Delenda Est" was selected to be produced - with real actors on stage - for the Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette's Play Festival! I'm giddy with all the good feelings. 🤩 If you're in #LafayetteIN over the last weekend in June, come out and see it!
Thanks to all the people who helped proofread, and gave me suggestions to make it better.
This landed hard.
I love literature and the theatre. I love diving into other people’s work; I love creating my own. It has become increasingly clear (especially since the pandemic) that my work is not commercial and my “brand” (whatever that is) does not excite. I will never be on Broadway or off. But I have to live the life that is mine even though there is no goal beyond that. #writer#writerlife#playwright
Today in Labor History February 28, 1933: Erich Mühsam, was arrested and blamed for the Reichstag fire. He was sent to the Oranienberg concentration camp, where he was tortured and murdered. Mühsam was an anarchist, poet and playwright who condemned Nazism and satirized Hitler. In the wake of the fire, President von Hindenburg issued the Reichstag Fire Decree, suspending civil liberties, and launching a "ruthless confrontation" with the Communists, making the fire pivotal in the establishment of Nazi Germany.
