I’m still reading #TheSkeletonKey but I suspect a lot of my friends will enjoy this one.
The premise is: what if Masquerade armchair treasure hunt fever had been so intense that it continued for decades, with people going to frighteningly obsessive lengths to find answers?
Fun read so far, and I’m excited to see where it goes with the story
#TheEscapeRoom is more of a thriller, and not actually about an escape room per se—some terrible Wall Street people are told they’re going into a game, but it’s actually a 2019 Escape Room movie-style revenge trap in an elevator (though no gore/torture), and the book’s unfolding plot explores why they deserve to be in there. Quick-paced and easy to read, though no puzzles
Will be the second psychological thriller in a row for me. Seems I'm just in the thriller mood at the moment!
It's about a prison psychologist tasked with assessing a charismatic inmate for parole who on the surface appears to be a model prisoner, but she suspects there's more to it and that still waters do, in fact, run deep.
Recently (finally) got a Kindle. Finished reading Spare. Now reading Smaller and Smaller Circles, which I started reading in college but never finished. #nowreading

Upon finishing NORTH AMERICAN LAKE MONSTERS I sat, quietly devastated by the elegant, bleak prose that spooled out stories of souls broken by fate, circumstance, tragedy, &/or the random cruelties of others. Beautiful, savage, resonant. A "must-read" collection.
