Always worth remembering this. Saw this sign last weekend at Middle East Bakery in Andersonville, Chicago. It is a great Arabic grocery store with a small restaurant attached to it. They make many things fresh, including some good spice mixes.
Not me grinning ear to ear! I spent all day today making a nice color version of the 3D #eclipse Sun and woah its working!
Headed to Dallas, #Texas on Sunday and was gonna drop this off at a studio in Fort Worth for their fundraiser auction, but I think its too big for a carry on.
I will admit- its not as round as perfect as I want, but definitely getting there!
Excited to see it age in fully- should be nice an bright.
One of the more iconic signs in River North. I took this on Thursday evening on my way to church for Maundy Thursday. I feel lucky to have seen the sign in this light because I am not usually there at this time.
Kacie Lees was around yesterday when I was fixing this up and called it a croissant- with its flat side, I agree! Finally- I got one! I thought it was leaking again- but it cleaned up. The usual turquoise staining drifted to the pink this time on its way out.
This spiral uses scraps of the You Are Magic collaboration with Alicia Eggert. So its an Eclipsed Magic Rainbow Croissant! Yeah its a little sloppy, but I wanna make another with fun colors :)
Hey Brooklyn, having a flash studio sale at #Urbanglass tomorrow (Friday the 22nd) as part of their Hot Glass Hangout.
My "mood board" is back alley deals and crappy cardboard signs. For two hours only (from 6-8PM) you can score great deals on "studio seconds" and others.
There will be some snacks an seltzers, but you can #BYOB if you want.
Expect super cheap deals and some nicer things. Custom stuff available too- talk with me.
Saturday I bent all the letters in all the colors for this collaboration with Alicia Eggert. A little bigger than I remember them, but that is nice.
That turquoise wants to stain so much. I got it way hot and bombarded it about 6 times which seemed to help reduces the size of the stains. I think they didn't bake out the binder from the coating? None of the other colors had the staining.
New at my Patreon... I was scrolling through photos from my first visit to the USA, and found this weird one. "What the hell?" I thought. "WTF is Moose Drool?"
I'm trying to fix a patch to allow #pixman's #ARM#NEON#assembly code to build with clang. They perform a lot of mechanical changes to switch to the "unified" ARM assembly syntax (.syntax unified), supported by both #gcc and #clang.
With clang the code builds but fails 3 of the tests in the test suite with what appear to be unaligned accesses. With gcc, the test suite passes before and after the patches.

Thought I would share this little clip of a cobalt blue xenon wriggler Yorky bent the other day. Yorky has been in #NYC for the past few months from Copenhagen and I have been giving him some #neon bending lessons. He has developed a taste for large tubes and xenon.
After a few days and a bunch of broken fancy glass, he got this one to survive. I bombarded it and filled it with enough #xenon to need a little grounding help to stay on.
