"A Labour government would “turn the NHS on its head”, shadow health secretary Wes Streeting will say as he argues reform is more important than pouring money into a health system “that isn’t working”
FFS, the money isn't being "poured in". That's why the NHS is in such a dire state. It needs more staff NOW, not reform.
This comes from a man who takes donations from a major investor in private health. There's another agenda here.
Labour buddies up with gig economy grifters rather than the ordinary working people they exploit 🤷♂️
How much further to the right do Labour have to lurch before progressives wake up and realise it’s a totally lost cause?
The UK desperately needs change in its politics but seems fixated on repeating the mistake of ‘97 by planning to elect a Tory Lite Labour™️ Government. Again.
The opaque right-wing think tank the Adam Smith Institute (beloved of Thatcher) has said it will be “expanding its network” into the Labour Party and will announce one of Labour’s peers as a patron in the coming weeks.
I think this 7 bins gag from Ed Miliband is pretty good:
“Let’s send these Tories to where they belong.
Let’s recycle them from government to opposition.
And chuck them into the 7 dustbins of history.” #LabourConference
“The prospect of a Labour government should be a time for celebration, relief, getting ready to roll up our sleeves and getting stuck into making progressive change. But as the Labour conference gets under way in Liverpool, we see the leadership telling us to have no hope.”
…
“Labour continually limits its offer…”
