#Jerusalem Fascist Flag Day crowds yell Death to the Arabs today & invaded Al Aqsa
Mairav Zonszein: Israeli Haaretz journalist @nirhasson protects a Palestinian journalist from a right wing mob at Jerusalem flag day parade through Old City.
Seeing Israeli citizens attack a Haaretz press reporter in full body armour while they chant "death to the Arabs" .....and still they tell you this isnt Fascism, and this isnt Genocide.
That's what Fascists do, gaslight, then attack the messenger.
Palestinian, Westerner, even fellow Israeli, all will be crushed while the Police and Moderators look the other way #FreePalestine#Jerusalem#Haaretz
“It was the worst aggression I’ve been subjected to during my work as a journalist,” Nir Hassoun, Haaretz’s reporter, said after he was beaten harshly by settlers during their annual provocative march in #Jerusalem.
So, in theory, I'll be able to come back to Jerusalem (from Armenia I was forced to go in March) around 15 of June. But when this week, when the conclusion of my aliyah after 1,5 years of burocracy hell is almost palpable, I became too unstable to perform the last bits needed.
Some kind of moral support will be very appreciated. Thank you.
You're absolutely right. I did feel a little bad about my tone, though.
@appassionato is definitely an ally, and many people don't know the granular details of political alliances in the MENA countries.
It does look inspiring on the face of it but Neturei Karta's protest is perennial and not to do (but tangentially) with the current assault unfolding in Ghaza.
The Edah HaChareidis (Meah Shearim) is the only Council of Sages in the Jewish world whose authority commands universal respect from Torah Jews. They are the actual Old Yishuv. To act like they are fringe in the frum world is a baldfaced lie; beyond Lubavitchers and Dati Leumi, who are disowned by 90% of Torah Jews, their claims to the legacy of the Perushim and the Arizal's school in Safed are beyond any doubt.
In other news, my poetry collection (two books in one binding) is finally out! It is in Russian (unfortunately, in some sense) and consists of texts, written between 2004 and 2016.
It is currently available in Moscow, Yerevan, and Tbilisi, and will come to Israel a bit later.
At the presentation in Yerevan as asked something along the lines "how do you feel to be so weird?", event in Jerusalem — sometime in June, most likely.
