To dozens of questions in her father’s civil fraud trial, the heiress drew a blank.
Indeed, on the stand, Trump insisted she didn’t remember the details of almost everything James’ attorneys inquired about. Over and over, asked about a particular deal or relationship with this or that bank, she drew a blank, answering “I don’t recall” at least two dozen times. When prompted with emails and letters she had written.....
#Now it’s #Ivanka Trump’s turn to face questioning in the #civil#fraud#trial that is publicly probing into the family business. #Trump’s eldest daughter, who has been in his inner circle in both #business & #politics, is due on the stand Wed, after trying unsuccessfully to block her #testimony.
#Ivanka testified that once the financing details had been worked out, all of her attention was devoted to its redevelopment. (not her new baby?) Just the hotel, though. She said the golf course design was all #Trump.
"My father has an affinity for golf.”
When #Doral was fully redeveloped, Ivanka said #DeutscheBank was pleased w/ the transformation, & changed some terms of the loan in Trump's favor.
#Ivanka testified during cross examination that the #Doral is something she feels "very proud of," especially now that she's a #Florida resident.

Back to the #DC hotel. #Ivanka said she spearheaded the redevelopment of the#OPO bldg. She said there was a lot of red tape.
"Since it's a historic building, there are many many different agencies… I think there were 20+ agencies from which we had to get approval.… It was a labor of love, it was a lot of work…. It was a very special iconic building that I'm really proud to have had the opportunity to work on."
Solomon countered that it's "night-&-day different" because the state used #Ivanka Trump's communications w/the GSA, not the agency's internal docs.
Engoron to Kise:
"Your constant insinuations that I have different set of standards. It's just not true. …You can keep saying it if it makes you happy, that I'm favoring one side over the other. …I just make the rulings as I see them."
There was a strange exchange when #Engoron asked for a read-back of a question #Trump atty Suarez asked #Ivanka. Engoron:
"That's a ridiculous question."
Suarez got angry at the #NYAG's lawyers who had laughed, & gave an indignant speech in which he said:
"They're trying to destroy thousands of jobs in this state." (?)
Trump atty Suarez asked how she felt about her time in the family business.
"As I testified earlier, they were complicated projects & I believe that we overdelivered on every metric."
Once the redevelopment was complete, Ivanka said #DeutscheBank was thrilled.
"I recall Rose referring to it as the crown jewel of their real estate portfolio.”
IMO, The most significant fallout from #Ivanka Trump’s testimony for sure was the fact that she had to guarantee her dad’s loan, which wouldn’t be required if he were the billionaire & successful businessman he claims to be.
