We already have 1,000 would-be Mozarts who instead of learning music and honing their skills are doing shit jobs for shit wages. They're spending their time just surviving instead of blessing the rest of us with music we'd love.
Ah, you mean #ElonMusk as the #Apartheid
-#Manchild. But he didn't invent Apartheid. He invented technical #Issues and we don't need a List to know, he is a brilliant #Inventor and #Investor (until Twitter) but also used and uses the #Wit of his #Employees to steal and modify great Ideas, displaying them, as they were his own and probably are, if this legal Issues are specified in the Coworker's Contracts. So I won't claim, he is stealing something. Clever Man.
Good Morning #Canada
Happy Birthday to Irving "Al" Gross, a pioneer in mobile communication. He patented many communications devices, specifically in relation to an early version of the walkie-talkie, Citizens' Band radio, the telephone pager and the cordless telephone. Although he grew up in the U.S., and all of his inventions were created there, we get to claim him as Canadian since he was born February 22nd 1918 in Toronto.

Born 2 decades before women could vote, Dr. Sadie Tanner Mossell Alexander was a fighter. She was the FIRST Black woman to receive a Ph.D. in America; the FIRST Black-American to receive a Ph.D. in Economics from UPenn; the FIRST Black woman to enroll & earn a law degree from UPenn; the FIRST Black woman admitted to PA bar; & the FIRST woman to hold national office in the National Bar Association.
@Deglassco thanks for this great thread!
Sadie’s family also included aunt Gertrude Bustill Mossell, a #writer publishing as Mrs N.F. Mossell. (The Work of the African American Woman (1894)). Gertrude was also an #inventor who did not patent her invention, a form of camping equipment. Interesting to think about how her niece embraced law as a tool & (maybe?) also claimed her own name in public spaces. #BlackInventors#LegalHist https://blogs.stockton.edu/litrecovery2019/mrs-n-f-mossell/
In 852, a 1000 years before the #airplane by Wright brothers, Abbas Ibn Firnas jumped from the minaret of the Grand Mosque in #cordoba using a loose cloak stiffened with wooden struts.
The cloak slowed his fall, creating what is thought to be the 1st parachute, and leaving him with only minor injuries
His designs would have been an #inspiration for Leonardo da Vinci, 💯s of years later
