#JinMaoTower#shanghai#skyscaper#architecture
On Carlton House Terrace in London, in a range of fine Georgian buildings, you’ll find the Royal Society, a fellowship of the world’s greatest scientists and the oldest extant scientific society. If you visit it—and I hope you will—you’ll see this large, heraldic stained glass window with the society’s inspiring and cautionary motto, “Nullius In Verba”. This roughly translates as “Take No One’s Word For It”—perfect for scientists and citizens too!
mastodon sucks because all anyone talks about on here is about how much better it is than twitter. for people that have allegedly move on from twitter y’all sure can’t stop talking about it.
🌄 With a nod to Impressionist painter Claude Monet, and his many haystack paintings done in different light, I created a series of photographs from our Bavarian chalet's balcony, taken over 7 days. I posted the first photo April 10, these are four more. Enjoy!
🎨 I invite you to follow me, for more photos through the eyes of a painter.
Very ornate church spire of one church reflected in the window of another church spire located across the road from each other. Both, a long 2 other churches, are located on, you guessed it, Church Street.
