My brother-in-law wants to cycle from Antwerp to Paris with his e-bike (next year).

He'd like to take his e-bike from Paris back to Brussels/Antwerp by train.

He can't find a train that takes e-bikes.

Any advice?

Starting from 15 June, some Eurostar Blue E320 trains are operating as Eurostar Red services from Amsterdam to Brussels or even Paris, but only in one direction. This is done to prevent running empty trains between Amsterdam and Brussels with the closure of the Eurostar Terminal in Amsterdam.

9360 Asd 14:45 (Mo-Fr)

Guten Morgen, los geht’s nach Brüssel! Ich bin pünktlich am Bahnhof, die #Bahn ist es nicht… Würde mich ärgern, wenn ich deshalb den teuren Eurostar in Köln verpasse - zumal das offenbar tatsächlich nicht von den Fahrgastrechten abgedeckt ist.

Und mega! Meine letzte Eurostar-Fahrt nach London war so unbequem und eng. Diesmal gab es nur noch erste Klasse - und das ist echt ein Unterschied. (Oder es ist ein ganz anderer Zug?)
Jedenfalls hat sich das gelohnt für 1. pünktlich kommen (bzw überhaupt ankommen) und 2. Komfort.

Wenn ich mir so durchlese, was @jon auf seinem #Eurostar-Weg nach London so widerfährt, fühle ich mich mal wieder bestätigt, warum ich bei Reisen nach UK absolut kein schlechtes Gewissen mehr habe, auch den Flieger für die Reise dorthin zu besteigen. 🙄

@jon Both the #Eurostar and #SNCF sites are happy to sell me a through ticket from #Limoges to #London with just 1h39 to change between Austerlitz and Nord. Surely they wouldn't knowingly sell a through-ticket with an impossible connection, would they? 🤔

I’d also argue it’s inexcusable Eurostar has held a monopoly on this route for so long. There’s zero motivation to innovate or do anything other than drive up existing fares.

If #Eurostar are having (blue passport related border control) capacity issues at St Pancras, why not reopen Ebbsfleet and Ashford to pick up that slack for those of us who like avoiding London?

I fucking love the #Eurostar!
Such a civilised way to travel. Wander down to the station, minimal security, hop on a train, and a few hours later you're in the centre of town.

The only thing that slightly spoils it is the decrepit station facilities at terminals. St Pancras, Centraal, and Midi are a bit cramped and dilapidated.

#ouiSncf vous fait gagner du temps... en appliquant deux fois le décalage horaire pour aller à #Londres !

Déjà il annonce qu'on ne met qu'une grosse heure pour faire #Paris-Londres, parce que n'est-ce pas 14h30 GMT moins 13h12 CET c'est 1h18.

Mais comme en plus il applique une 2e fois le changement d'heure pour afficher l'heure d'arrivée (en haut), ben là c'est carrément 18 minutes de trajet si je ne me trompe ?

(et par ailleurs #RER connait pas, 🚗 dans Paris!)

Wieder auf ans #LGVKursbuch. Die nervigen Winter-TGVs sind durch, die OUIGO-Züge ebenfalls aufdatiert.
Dann noch der "Bonus"-Teil. OUIGO Trains Classiques und Nachtzüge. Bin gespannt, wie viel Zeit diese in Angriff nehmen werden…
