Hmm this #SEGA#Dreamcast#GDEmu is probably a dud. Bought it 1-2 years ago from AliExpress (so I guess it’s a clone?) and it worked fine. Played a couple of times and worked fine. The SD card was brand new as well (not from AliExpress ;-)). Sometime later started having these stuck at loading issues but could get past it. But currently, it’s not getting further anymore. Bah.
The HD remake of Sonic Adventure was on sale on Steam from $1.99, so even though it got kind of mixed reviews I couldn't resist that price for a #sega#dreamcast classic, I never feel bad at treating myself to video games under $5.
@OutofPrintArchive I played too much Pen Pen Triicelon back in the day. I got a Dreamcast close to launch but for whatever reason (probably sold out) did not get Sonic Adventure until a few weeks later. Thus, Pen Pen was initially my only DC game. Pretty fun and the graphics looked amazing compared to N64.
The first time I played it was at the import shop when they got a Japanese copy in.
I resisted the urge to buy a Japanese Dreamcast at the Tim (wish I hadn't looking back at it), so I knew that when it finally released over here, I wanted a copy wether the reviews turned out positive or negative.
A very simple, yet really fun game. 😊
Turns out there was a bunch of Christmas content that I missed out on from some of my favorite games like Sonic Adventure
and Sonic Adventure 2 that was only available on the Dreamcast but not in the GameCube ports of the same games.
@OutofPrintArchive
That game deserved better than it got. I played, and beat, it back in the day. When "Blue Stinger" was released most people saw it as a knock-off of the "Resident Evil" franchise, that could have used more polish. It wasn't perfect but it was fun.
@Dr_Ubertrout
It really does. I couldn't find a better review on short notice, so I was even reluctant to post this one...
Quite a few games during he era got so much unwarranted hate.
Heck, I came across a review for GigaWing on Dreamcast that gave it like 30% as well... Just stupid.
