The fact that the Republican Party is just as willing to ban IVF as they are abortion tells me that they are about controlling womens' bodies, not protecting the lives of the unborn. Now, #Alabama women, who don't normally side with us, are revolting. In reality less than 1% of trans people who have transitioned indicate a desire to detransition. But Republicans have to keep telling this brazen lie to justify the intentionally discriminatory, #unconstitutional, #antitrans laws they crave.
Florida Bill Would Require Mass Biological Sex Affidavits, Ending All Trans Legal Recognition
It demands that every law in Florida adhere to its definition, effectively eliminating all trans legal recognition. It goes through many areas of code and creates policies that allow for the tracking of transgender people’s assigned sex at birth and enforcement of laws that exclude or criminalize them.
U.S. District Judge #RobertHinkle said that he thinks the #DeSantis#antiTrans law isn’t about preventing mutilation but about preventing trans youth from obtaining health care. That’s a pretty strong signal that DeSantis is about to get handed a defeat by the court.

Libs of TikTok is a far-right anti-LGBT Twitter account run by Chaya Raichik. The account has become highly influential in conservative circles, and it has over 1.8 million followers as of January 2023. The central narrative pushed by the account is "grooming", the lie claiming that LGBT people are pedophiles manipulating children into sexual deviancy. The concept went mainstream after Florida governor Ron DeSantis signed a law banning classroom instruction on gender identity or sexual orientation in grades K-3 in Florida public schools, with his press secretary accusing the bill's opponents of being "groomers".
Raichik's posts on Twitter have been directly linked to transphobic and homophobic threats, violence, and attempted terrorist attacks. Incidents include bomb threats against a school in Wisconsin, a near-riot at Idaho Pride, and threats against a Jewish summer camp.
“The same forces who have been using fear, disinformation, conspiracy theories and hate to whip up #AntiTrans#bigotry are now coalescing in #HateRallies in communities throughout #Canada & #BritishColumbia on September 20,” the BC Fed stated in a release. “These rallies directly attack the #2SLGBTQIA+ community and the principles of #equity and #inclusion that are at the heart of labour #solidarity .”
When I ran for trustee, my signs were defaced with #antivaxx#antisemitic garbage. When I advocated for temporary masks in @OCDSB schools, the threats markedly worsened. For the most part, colleagues were silent.
No outcry. Not even checking in to see if I’m alright.
Weird? Not if you dismiss antisemitism.
I cannot imagine being silent. I would stand up to defend my colleague. In fact, I did, when it came to #antitrans hate. Which resulted in more attacks on me.
