With Superlist, Wunderlist Makers Pick Up Where They Left Off
Remember Wunderlist? It was a highly popular and well-made cloud-based to-do/task app that was free to use on all major mobile and desktop platforms, including Linux, until Microsoft acquired it and eventually shut it down.
@danie10 Looks interesting. When Wanderlust was sold to Microsoft I did look around because MS’s first implementation of what they’d bought into MS To Do was pretty weak. But over time it has become as useful as Wanderlust ever was. It doesn’t feel modern and slick like Superlist, but $8/month to be able to share more than 5 lists with my family makes it too rich for my blood.
@danie10@podfeet Have you looked at @joplinapp at all? I don't use the list feature as much as tickbox lists in markdown notes, but it seems pretty awesome for sharing and note taking. Basically free, with a totally optional subscription to their cloud storage. I just use webdav, but you have many other options.
@grant_h yes I did look at Joplin when last evaluating notes apps (not really for todo) but my criteria as I recall was to sync Markdown text files, and I can't recall why I'd eliminated Joplin at the time.
